80th China Educational Equipment Exhibition Is Hosted Successfully in Chengdu

On October 23-25, 2021, the 80^th China Educational Equipment Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as the Exhibition) hosted by China Educational Equipment Industry Association (CEEIA) was successfully held at Western China (Chengdu) International Expo City.

More than 1,300 enterprises participated in the exhibition, exhibiting more than 20,000 pieces of exhibits. Total show size over 200,000sqm, and more than 210,000 visiting times of professional visitors from the whole China. There were 6 highlights on this edition of exhibition as below:

Highlight 1: Richer connotation of exhibitors

There are more than 1,300 exhibitors in this exhibition, 7 of which are listed as Fortune global 500 companies in 2021, including Huawei, China Mobile, Alibaba, China Telecom, Tencent, Lenovo, and HP. Elected "fortune" magazine in 2021 China's top 500, a total of 16, China Mobile, Alibaba, Tencent, Lenovo, China Telecom, Beijing Oriental, Baidu, ZTE, Netease, Chinese chemical group, Hikvision, Hisense, Skyworth, Tongfang Co., Ltd,  Mindray Medical, Wood Tomlinson, double the previous number achieved growth; 47 listed companies on the New Third Board, 22 more than doubled the number of the previous year; 30 listed companies, 5 more than previous edition.

Highlight 2: Stronger Enterprises

Education equipment industry enterprises are more sustainable, the average survival time of Chinese SMEs is about 3 years, among the exhibitors, 1001 enterprises established more than 5 years, accounting for 76.7% of the total number of exhibitors, 623 enterprises established more than 10 years, accounting for 47.7% of the total number of exhibitors, nearly half of the enterprises established more than 10 years. The education equipment industry has a robust development, the characteristics of large market size, increasingly gaining the attention of many financial investment enterprises, according to incomplete statistics, 181 exhibiting companies have received investment (including angel round), and accounting for 13.9% of the total number of exhibitors.

With the continuous improvement of China's manufacturing level, the level of education equipment manufacturing enterprises also improve greatly, education equipment industry enterprise quality management awareness has been enhanced, 673 enterprises through the quality management system certification, accounting for 51.6% of all exhibitors; a total of 324 enterprises received 10,570 CCC product certification, accounting for 25% of the total number of exhibitors. China Education Equipment Exhibition is gradually developing into another platform to show the level and strength of Chinese manufacturing.

Highlight 3: More Frontier Exhibits

Information technology has brought huge development space for the education equipment industry, and a large number of overall solutions and services such as smart campuses, smart classrooms, and smart LABS have emerged. From the enterprise classification data, the number of educational informatization enterprises, artificial intelligence enterprises, and maker education enterprises all increased. 20,000 exhibits cover smart campus-related products; Education cloud products; Maker, loT (Internet of Things) and STEAM products; Robotics and drone products; VR(virtual reality), AR(augmented reality), and MR(mixed reality) products, making the gap between teaching and learning closer.

Highlight 4: Eye-catching Exhibits of comprehensive equipment

With the implementation of the "double reduction" policy, students' academic burden has been reduced and the demand for comprehensive literacy improvement has increased. Another highlight of this exhibition cannot be ignored is that, with the application of artificial intelligence technology, virtual simulation technology in physical, musical, art and labor education teaching, those equipment products and services are more practical, more suitable to the needs of students.

Under the influence of the national policy of double reduction, the number of exhibitors in the exhibition of musical, physical, and aesthetic class increased by 33% over the previous edition, reaching 201, the number of exhibitors in the training class fell 46% over the previous edition, and most of the exhibitors in the training class are also robotics training, technology training, and art training.

Education managers are insightful, explorers and leaders of future education. To enhance their education information literacy, this exhibition also builds up a diversified communication mechanism and holds more than 30 professional and attractive activities and forums, including the "Second Academic Conference on Education Equipment", "Innovation Forum on Experimental Teaching Work in Primary and Secondary Schools", "Future Education Equipment Innovation and Development Conference", "New Products, New Technologies, and New Achievements Release Conference", "National School Health and Wellness Education Summit in the New Era" and so on, inviting experts and scholars and education managers to focus on the hot and difficult issues in education reform and development.
